NAMAN KUMAR MODI

Born in India, in a family of lawyers, I grew up to become one myself, though NOTWITHSTANDING my passion for law I got the advantage to pursue what today's law is pursuing - "Information Technology". Right when I had completed my degree, parallelly working on learning different technological languages, I was accepted for an amazing opportunity at Deloitte, which plays a vital role in my career, and the story otherwise.

Having started as a front-end developer, I worked in the role for quite a few months, but having more inclination towards learning and working with the complex functionalities of the system I moved to the quality control and assurance side of the project. It was evidently a better area for me, as I was able to leverage my Business Administration learnings with that role.

In no time, I started learning and implementing automation solutions in the project, which started with automating the day-to-day reports with excel vba and powershell, moving to full-fledged selenium scripting in java. I have had experience of development, maintenance, and enhancement of complete automation suites for multiple projects.

Further in my career, following the agile way, I have led a team of SME quality control and automation engineers, managing, and delivering top-notch quality enhancements on complex web solutions. Something that this role has coached me on is - handling aggressive deadlines, without compromising the quality in any way. Having been fortunate enough to receive guidance and support from the leadership and my seniors at Deloitte, I was entrusted with multiple responsibilities to learn, implement, and manage quality without any asterisk (condition) associated to it.

Advancing my way through various opportunities at Deloitte, I felt the need to pursue focused learning again, which paved my way to University at Buffalo. And having had a legacy status at the university (my younger sister completed her masters from UB), it was a clear goal for me.

Focusing on the long game, listening to old songs, reading, and traveling are some of my consistent hobbies.
